Mercedes-Benz - 130H - 1936.
A great collector's item, an extremely rare model, one of the last preserved, which makes it practically impregnable. The car being mentioned is the Mercedes 130 H, which was being produced between 1934-1936. The engineer Ferdinand Porsche contributed to it greatly.
The car is very interesting when you take a look at it with a constructioners eye: the engine is located in the rear, the water-cooling radiator and the fan are behind the passengers' seats. A semi-automatic gearbox overdrive, 3 gears plus the 4th automatic, no need to use the clutch. 4,298 cars of this model were produced (adding up all of its versions). There are only 40 left in the world.
This car, when brand new, got to France and had been in possession of one owner only. Until 1950s it was occasionally driven, and since the 1960s it was left untouched under a pile of unwanted stuff, where the time approached it.
Nevertheless, the body is in a very good shape. It's an excellent base for renovation - all the mechanisms are preserved. There are only some minor defects in the lighting and wiring.
This lot can be viewed and picked up in Vichy, France.
