3 ropes of beautiful antique glass beads, originally made in Venice in the beginning of the 20th Cent. They were also called "Millefiori" because of their colourful appareance and the insertion of different coloured glass in a neutral matrix. The first rope of egg-shaped beads consists of 64 glass beads. In a yellow matrix thin lines of red/white and blue were inserted over the middle of the bead. There are 6 beads with a broad line of green over the middle. Dim.; 8 x 12 mm. The second rope of egg-shaped glass beads consists of 56 beads. there are two varieties; a more yellow bead with thin green lines and a more dotted bead with lines of gree/red/white and blue. Dim.; 10 x 12 mm and 10 x 15 mm. resp. The third rope consists of 23 brick-red coloured, tubular, beads with small dots of white and black. Some wheathering visible on the surface, due to its old age. Then there are 28 brick-red coloured beads with insertions of thin lines of yellow glass. Dim.; 15 x 9 mm and 10 x 12 mm. resp. All these rope were collected in the city of Kumasi in the late 1990's.
