The manufacturer also offers the natural aluminum color. Like all CAIRN brand products, the “talkative” display has 2 rounded buttons on either side. The one on the left allows you to access the following functions: – selection of long waves (AM), and frequency modulation (FM), – manual search or automatic search of your choice, – preselection of stations. The right button is responsible for incrementing or decrementing the frequency value, as well as preselecting the 100 stored stations – what memory! CAIRN has not forgotten the RDS on its MIDI model, moreover the frequency value remains displayed, as well as the preselection number. A remote control common to all CAIRN devices allows you to make the most of all the device's possibilities with the most pleasant handling. The construction is serious and robust, and inspires confidence. On the other hand, the large chassis does not house much in terms of electronics. Everything is gathered on a tiny – but what a card. The filtering is very well done, and is directly applied to the output files, which are of good quality by the way.
