Wine bought to Marqués de Riscal winery in 2003. Stored in original cases and cellared in private cellar up to today. Wine was produced from the excellent vintage of 1973 in Marqués de Riscal Estarte. Very old grapes selected from the surroundings of the winery in Elciego village, La Rioja Alvesa (Basque Country Rioja). Wine fermented and matured in a big wooden vat from the founding time of the winery, 1858. Aged for 5 to 6 years in old barrels and racked periodically using the traditional 19th-century Riojan cask to cask. Hand bottling, directly from the cask, bottle a bottle. Not filtered. Bottles remained stored in the old cellar of the winery, known as "El Cementerio", the Cemetery, until 2003. *** All international parcels are shipped with the highest standards of quality: through the premium “UPS International Express”, the fastest service against signature provided by the courier.
