In 1954 Giuseppe Bensa, having returned from Switzerland, where he worked as a carpenter, decided to buy some plots of land and a house, to use it as a tavern where he could sell the wines he produced by the glass.
Of the 10 hectares of vineyards that make up the company, half are 45/55 years old and have around 3000/3500 vines per hectare with a production of 50 quintals/ha, as was once the custom, while the other half is more recent , about 25 years old, has 5500/6000 plants per hectare with a yield of less than 50 q/ha, thus achieving excellent maturation and concentrations.
