A very impressive Ottoman Empire silver-metal ring. It presents a raised octagonal bezel set with a red hardstone intaglio showing a seated figure, possibly a warrior or a ruler with a spear or staff in his hand. The background of the scene has been decorated with five incised dots. The intaglio decoration served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The raised bezel presents a trapezoid shape and is decorated on all sides with geometric patterns, partly worn and faded, with a raised trefoil formation at the centre of two sides. The shoulders feature two protrusions reminiscent of snakes with open mouths. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
