The Mignon typewriter was first marketed in 1903. This model, designed by Dr. Friedrich von Hefner-Alteneck, was produced in Berlin on behalf of AEG. The letters are placed on the paper in a Mignon in a manner different from other machines. This is done via a manually operated pointing pin that controls the print head.
