A bottle of Chartreuse Yellow liqueur, produced in Tarragona, Spain. We estimate this was bottled between 1982 and 1989 and imported for italian market by Soffiantino - Genova Chartreuse has been produced by Carthusian monks in France since 1737. In the early 20th century, the monastery and distillery were nationalised by the French government. The monks, unwilling to give up their secret recipe, moved production to Tarragona, Spain.
