For real connoisseurs : Louis Latour, Aloxe-Corton "Les Valozieres" 1949, Premier Cru Old Burgundies are a true dream for every connoisseur, especially from the vintage 1949. The level is very good for a 75 old guy, and the color of the wine is outstanding ! On the label and also on the cork brand (!) you can read: "mise J. Leyn - Zelzate" Be sure to decant for at least 1-2 or even 3 hours!!! The well-known wine critic “wineterminator.com” writes: "...I'm actually a self-confessed Bordeaux drinker, but I'm obsessed with the 49er Burgundies. These wines from one of the greatest Burgundy years of the last century are simply so balanced, finessed and elegant that even a Bordeaux junkie can do it Don't say no. They are usually cheaper and have fewer failures..."
