水田硯山 Mizuta Kenzan (1902-1988)
Born in Osaka. Studied under his brother Mizuta Chikuho, a painter. Studied Chinese studies from Fujisawa Nangaku and moved to Kyoto in 1918 (Taisho 7). Studies Nanga. Later became active mainly in the Japan Nanga Academy. In his later years, he began to paint landscapes and flower-and-bird paintings influenced by Impressionism.
