The Maison designs, creates and manufactures fabrics in the purest French tradition, but mixing styles and periods. Two cushions made with Pierre Frey precious jacquard fabric "Souchin" in "Sauterelle" color (50% Linen, 44% Viscose, 6% metallised yarn Lurex) and backside made with "Monochrome 4" in off white color, an extra quality velvet from the Premium Collection. The design of this embroidery is based on a preparatory gouache for fabric, symptomatic of the Egyptomania in vogue in the 1920s and preserved in the Pierre Frey archives. Souchin's coloring is inspired by the ornaments and flowers of the brightly colored frescoes that bloom on the walls of Egyptian temples.
