Robert Charles Goff (1837-1922) was an Irish printmaker and painter who specialised in topographical scenes. During his later years he moved to a villa overlooking Florence where he and his second wife Clarissa, wrote about the area. The original watercolors replicated in their book were all created direct from nature.
Clarissa Goff shares descriptions and impressions of the city of Florence, taking the reader through the famous St. Maria Novella and Santa Croce, the cathedral square, Ponte Vecchio and other charming Tuscan cities.
