Louis Poulsen - Jørn Utzon - Lamppu - Tee Woop - Metalli

Doo-Wop / The Navy pendulum from the 1950s. Doo-Wop is an unpretentious and simple pendant light that is multi-purpose. It is harmonious in its design. Doo-Wop brings life to the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the home office, the children's room, the entrance hall, the staircase, the bedroom - in short, it contributes to both a breath of fresh air and good lighting in the home. Doo Wop was designed for the navy's buildings in the late 50s and could be seen in canteens, offices, corridors and many other places. That is why it is also known as the Navy pendulum. The light is delivered exactly as the shape promises it will do and the lamp has no details that are not there to contribute to the lighting value. In short, Doo-Wop emits a pleasant light that is primarily directed downwards, but in addition it contributes to the good lighting atmosphere in the room. Description: No dents and few scratches. See pictures. Sent without bulb. The lamp is packed well with track and trace. Dimension: h 21 cm, w 30 cm. Jørn Utzon (1918-2008) is probably Denmark's most famous architect of all time. In 1942 he was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and then developed his talent in, among other things, Aalvar Alto's design studio in Helsinki. Here he gradually optimized his ability to create architecturally organic spaces without overriding respect for people, nature and surroundings. Jørn Utzon really established his name with the design of the Opera House in Sydney, but has also designed lamps for e.g. Fritz Hansen and &Traditions. For Utzon, there are clear parallels between music and light, and both elements are of crucial importance for the experience of emotional moods. Therefore, in the design for Fritz Hansen, he has worked purposefully with the factor that the light constantly helps to support the atmosphere that characterizes the room – whether it is used for comfort, function or inspiration. Thereby, the design of his first lamp for Fritz Hansen draws threads back to the Opera House and thus completes the image of Jørn Utzon as a lamp designer and architect in an international class
