Rare copy of erotic drawings by a famous and inflential artist , Koji Fukiya ( 1898 - 1979 ) Painter, illustrator and poet. Very few informations on this publication ( no editor , no archives ) We can have some certainties after working on it. Commentaries are a bit long, but it's a huge lot by a author first rate ; he is the precursor and master of the Japanese Animation Film ( Very important in Japan ) Koji Fukiya began to study painting in 1907 , and in 1912 entered into the workshop of Otake Chikuha ( a great master ) , and began his work of illustator in the newspaper Shojo Gaho. In 1924, he published a poem with his illustrations " The Bride's Doll " , the melody was composed after and this song became a contine for children ( known by all Japanese ) He did a trip in Europe in 1925 ( Paris and others capitals) , he met Foujita in Paris. Returned in Japan in 1929, due at the bankuptcy of the familale business. So it's at this moment that he got the special order to do this work , Title " Sexology in 65 Lessons " , he did the illustrations from poems of Ogu Hong'er ( a poet of the 19th century) The 1st plate shows him on profile. In 1954, he created the " Toei Animation Studio " and directed the first feature color animation film " The White Snake " which inspirated all a generatation of Japanese drawers , painters and Mangas authors. He has a museum in his town ( Shibata ) was the creator of " The lyrical painting " A master in his art recognized all over the world. Each plate has the title on the right top corner and the lesson number on the right bottom corner. This is a very huge work, begins at the first moments of the sexuality , 2-3 plates at the end shows the sexuality at an advanced age . He shows also all the imaginary specification of Japanese sexuality ( painted by Hokusai or Utamaro before in 18th century ) like copulation with animals and full of others scenes. He traited also the colonisation , the religion . Full of drawings show European sexuality , as he discovered it in Paris or Marseille . There are a lot of details, each plate is complexe and takes a lot of time, but with a geart interest. ( you will note 2 plates with English translation ) There are 66 plates, 65 lessons and the first one with Hong'er portrait , On the 18th, the editor has noted : The source materiel has been disappeared , ( and the edition date 1996 ) It's the only date of the publication. The plates are contained in a brown embossed paper envelope. All in a yellow thin card slipcase with on the spine with Gold letters stamped : Koji Fukiya and the title Sexology in lessons The slipcase has small bumps and the last plates has slights folds barely visible, All stayed excellent to NM A very nice lot
