Very decorative vintage wall decoration/sconce, representing Firebird (Жар-птица) between two candle holders. From metal, copper plated. Mounted over wooden panel. Made in USSR. Dated1960-s. Rare even on the market of former USSR countries. Inspired by Slavic folklore and Russian fairy tales. The personage is famous also from Stravinsky's ballet "The Firebird". Big and impressive artifact, ready to change any wall for good. Two spacers on the back side, for safety reasons, to keep candles away from the wall. The condition of item is excellent vintage. Some tiny traces of time and use existing, fortunately not significant. Ready to display. No broken parts, no restorations. What you see as fissure on the back (marked) is production related - only the first layer of plywood is partially with this blemish, otherwise whole part is solid.
