18-year-old Ernesto Treccani already directed the magazine ‘Corrente’. A group of anti-fascist and avant-garde artists and intellectuals (Guttuso, Birolli, Migneco, Sassu) formed around the magazine. The themes dealt with during his career were resumed and reworked between the 1970s and 1980s and they took on a visionary accent. He experiments with acrylics that allows him to leave quick strokes and colour overlays on the canvas. The depicted figures, mostly faces, tend to the informal. During his life, he travelled a lot, exhibiting his artworks throughout Italy and all over the world (Paris, London, New York, Moscow).
