The picture was made in 2009 at a Damien Hirst Spin Workshop at the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev. The ‘Requiem’ exhibition ran from 25th April to 20th September 2009. Four spin machines were installed and trained assistants helped produce paintings in Damien Hirst style. Hirst himself also spent some hours at the workshops and created spin paintings together with the gallery visitors. Approximately 600 spin paintings were produced at these sessions. The artwork has been re-framed. The reverse bears Hirst Blind stamp and stamped with signature and inscription. ‘This painting was made by / to celebrate the opening / of Damien Hirst, Requiem, / at the PinchukArtCentre / on April 25-26th 2009 The dimensions given are for the frame. The picture dimensions are 525mm x 545mm
