This is the oil painting on canvas from the Seaside Portraits Serie. I am a Polish contemporary artist who lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. I hold a bachelor's degree in photography dep. of Multimedia from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland. I am a self-taught painter, a photographer by training, and I work as a graphic designer and illustrator. As a contemporary artist I use both painting and photography having the opportunity to explore a wide range of creative possibilities. As a painter I draw from a combination of portraiture and figurative painting as well as the concept of distance and inner self. My main subject is the human being. I am inspired by philosophy and existential issues. The works benefit from my extensive knowledge of the traditional Old Masters’ techniques and my dedicated interest in anatomy.
