Biography

Vincent Huot is a contemporary French painter. His geometric abstraction offers an intimate dialogue between shapes ans colors, transparencies and volumes. In Huot's painting universe the color is freed from the subject ans becomes the subject itself. He exclusively uses acrylic through strict solid colors, without any brushwork effect, in three very thin layers. No color is juxtaposed so that the whole appears uniform and smooth. Artist's approach means wanting to establish a positive energy where calm and serenity emerge through colored spaces in a simple but yet orderly, constructed way, aiming to dialogue in harmony between strength and lightness.
