Koji Kasatani - Happy things!
Signed - original edition - 2024
Technik: gyanta és vegyes technikák
Hand signed 2024

Artwork Description:
This artwork is wrapped in bubble wrap, but in fact, the bubble wrap itself is the artwork.
Made from transparent resin, it's so realistic that you won't notice it at first glance.
This piece was born by chance; one day, when I was shipping a finished piece, I wrapped it in bubble wrap. When I looked through the wrap, the artwork inside appeared to be hidden or blurred depending on the viewing angle, creating a mysterious world.
So, I succeeded in creating bubble wrap using resin so that it could function as an artwork. Introducing a one-of-a-kind, tricky piece of art.

Koji Kasatani (born 1964) is a Japanese artist.
After graduating from art school in Florence, Italy,
I studied Italian ceramic techniques.
After returning to Japan, I began challenging myself to create works that went beyond the boundaries of ceramics.
When I found some banana scraps, my father's favorite, in the kitchen, I was convinced that this was art, and since then I have been creating banana-themed works for about 18 years.
Besides bananas, I also creates a variety of other unique and distinctive works.
