Born in Rome in April 1990, LACRISS experiences art as an instinctive necessity: a reality that has always belonged to her. Since her school days, drawing emerged as a natural calling: she recalls never leaving home without a pencil in her pocket, like an amulet.
When she felt bored by the grayness of the buildings or out of step with the rhythm of a conversation, she would pull it out to draw and give shape to her thoughts, even creating entire imaginary cities on the edges of newspapers and paper napkins. That pencil was her shield against the banality of the world and proof that, as long as she had a mark to leave, she would have a reality to inhabit. This absolute passion has flourished today into a defined profession.
Influenced by urban culture, Street Art, and photography, her work finds its place in the contemporary art scene with a visceral and original style. LACRISS develops a confident and instinctive language on canvas, where drips of paint, bold acrylic brushstrokes, and spray-paint layers soil the surface in a harmonious chaos. The use of mixed media-charcoal, pencils, markers, and inks-generates vibrant and colorful works that exude the energy of the street, while maintaining a monumental presence.

Identity and the Lapsus project:

Starting from 2026, the artist's creative universe branches out to give voice to two different needs, maintaining LACRISS as the primary seal and guarantee protecting every one of her works.
Through LACRISS, the artist investigates technique and the depth of the gaze, bringing a complex aesthetic research and her deepest passions to the canvas.
At the same time, the Lapsus project comes to life. In this dimension, the artist uses the alias LAPSUS to shed technical superstructures and make room for the beauty of simplicity. Through references to Pop culture, these works are born with the goal of bringing the observer back to pure childhood memories, using a direct language that speaks of colors and emotional memory. Even within the Lapsus project, the authenticity and copyright of the work remain secured by the authority of the LACRISS brand.
Whether through the strength of her urban works or the immediate nostalgia of the Lapsus project, every work emanates a magnetic vibration. The artist offers her instinctive vision, leaving the final interpretation to the observer.
