Leírás az eladótól

Wifredo LAM (1902-1982).

Lithograph (to the stone) printed by La Polígrafa (Barcelona, 1979) and published by Redfern Gallery (London, 1979).

Lithograph size: 25.5 x 19 cm.

Limited to 1,000 copies.

Bibliography: GIRALT-MIRACLE, Daniel. Ediciones Polígrafa. Barcelona. Ediciones Polígrafa - Redfern Gallery, 1979, pp. 11-32.

Exceptional edition commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of Ediciones Polígrafa in collaboration with the Redfern Gallery in London, where an exhibition was held featuring the works included in the publication (with lithographs by Joan Miró, Antoni Tapies, Eduardo Chillida, Henry Moore, Zao Wou.Ki, Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta, Christo, and other artists essential to understanding 20th-century art).

Our three-dimensional mounting of the work is done without adhesives on a double Fabriano cardboard base.

Framed in a "box" with glass. Size: 31.5 x 22.5 x 3.5 cm.
In perfect condition.

The work of the great Cuban artist Wifredo Lam is rooted in his mixed heritage (China, Africa, and the Antilles). The artist is particularly inspired by the Africans who brought to Cuba "their primitive culture, their magical religion, and their mystical side."
