Leírás az eladótól

Tudományos/házai fotográfus vagyok //? - Nincs //

I’m a documentary and editorial photographer from The Hague. Working worldwide for magazines, advertisement agencies, architects and commercial clients. Next to that I make personal projects like Rear Window, for which I have been photographing the rear view of buildings all over the world since 2010.

In urban planning, architects often pay great attention to the design of a building's front, while the rear is overlooked.

Rear views of homes in older cities often evolve more organically, as neat layouts are disrupted by encroaching greenery. A balcony might host a large satellite dish while an adjacent landing serves as storage space. In Southeast Asia, air conditioning units form their own façade; in Northern Europe, a Christmas tree planted in a courtyard has grown into a massive obstacle.

This series explores the backs of buildings in metropolises worldwide, revealing international differences and the resulting global chaos.

This is an Epson print, mounted on dibond. It has a protective UV layer which gives a matte effect. The print is framed in a light colored wooden frame. It has been used for an exhibition before but is in very good state.
Mumbai #3 at 70x56cm has an edition of 15, of which 1 has been sold. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the back.
