Created by award-winning artist Tehos, La Joconde 2 – 2026 is part of the digital series ; Vertical Memories – Masters.
This series extends Vertical Memories by applying the same principle of transformation to major works from art history, such as Mona Lisa, Van Gogh’s self-portraits, and many others.
Each image is broken down into vertical striations, then reorganized through horizontal bands. The colors, contrasts, and original structure remain present, but are displaced until they produce an almost abstract composition.
The masterpiece remains present, fragmented, like a visual memory that the viewer gradually reconstructs. The series opens a passage between collective memory and the contemporary transformation of the image.
In this work, the original image is transformed into a minimalist composition where perception and imagination are deliberately unsettled. The artwork exists in three versions: with a blue door, a yellow door, or a pink door.

Tehos egy francia kortárs művész, aki 1966-ban született.
