Remco 'Tekenaar' Schakelaar is originally a Dutch portrait-artist, accidentally falling in love with abstract painting and pop-art. Growing up drawing and engulfing in games and tv-shows, his love for art and retro gaming and geekiness is coming together in this Vegeta portrait, part of the D-Series.
For Schakelaar, games and pop culture are more than just pastime – they are an obsession, a theme deeply interwoven into the tapestry of his artworks. The acrylic pieces, each a tribute to the digital tales and characters that have resonated with him.
