This boxes are consider by collectors and galleries very unique like the Warhols Brillo boxes.
These were made at a moment of upheaval in the art world. Artists were very concerned about the exploding and exploitative art market and the lack of political and creative response to the Aids epidemic. We were all trying to create accessible, sex-positive work that undermined the oppressive cultural biases of that moment.
