Ferrer Bobet The winery has been founded with the utmost respect for the Priorat wine-growing region, a project between two old friends, Sergi Ferrer-Salat and Raül Bobet, passionate about the world and culture of wine. Their first two wines, Ferrer Bobet Vinyes Velles 2005 and Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial Vinyes Velles 2005, appeared on the market in 2008, a faithful reflection of the purity and harmony, the mineral essence so typical of these lands, made from some of the oldest vineyards in Priorat. Location In the Porrera area, a beautiful natural environment that has exceptional characteristics for viticulture and that, in fact, were decisive when deciding to opt for these places. Climate Under the influence of northeasterly winds, with a subtle moderating effect of the Mediterranean, with a strong thermal gradient between day and night. Floors They are composed almost exclusively of slate, the proverbial "llicorella", which only the best Priorat estates possess, and which contribute vitally to the inimitable personality of the wines. Vineyard The estate consists of 70 hectares of vineyards, of which only 15 hectares have been subsequently planted. The rest belong to old vines from winegrowers in the area. The maximum respect for the environment has defined organic viticulture, which does not contemplate the use of insecticides or herbicides. Grape varieties Centennial vines of Cariñena and Garnacha Tinta. And from younger vineyards, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Roussane.
