The story of Trifari began in 1910 when Gustavo Trifari, a recent immigrant from Italy, arrived in the United States. Driven by a passion for jewelry design and a dream of making it big in America, he laid the foundation for what was to become an iconic brand. Some of Trifari's iconic designs included so-called "Patriotic designs" featuring US-inspired imagery during WWII, Jelly Belly animals, versatile Cip-Mate brooches, and of course, the famous Trifari crowns. The company's diamante and faux pearl pieces were of such exceptional quality that First Lady Mamie Eisenhower wore Trifari to her husband’s presidential inauguration.
