Three pieces tea set polychrome cold enamelled arabesque tea set in Kangi style Kashmir North India , gilded on copper, fine details work , various method and techniques used ( carving, chasing, etching , cold enamelled )
Estimated period second half of 19th century, enamels technique older period for this area known , colour of enamel dark blue, light blue and red cherry in direct relation with Islamic colour symbols for the region and period, two major cultural pattern..Islamic colour meaning merge with North India Kashmir’s traditional design feature cobra snake biting its tail represents birth and rebirth of Universe
