Beautiful armour in a great combination of colours. In a very good condition despite its centuries of age. The armour is complete in all its elements in a very good state of preservation. The helmet includes the emblem of the Takeda family and its inspired in the helmet weared by Takeda Shingen, one of the most important samurais of sengoku period and one of the most important families in the history of Japan. While the rest of the pieces belong to the middle Edo Period, the helmet is a later addition and dates from the first half of the 20th century. Despite that it fits very well in the design and is difficult to identify in plain sight giving the rest of the armor a much more spectacular look than it would have with its original helmet.
The armour has gilded details that show the quality of the piece. The incredible workmanship accentuates such ornate pieces as the kabuto, the mempo and the Do. The stand to assemble it and the box are included. This armour is sure to delight any collector of Asian art and will be the focal point of any visitor's home, shop or office. There is a very ancient object and there are fabrics damaged by time and tears. Due to the delicacy of continuous assembly and disassembly, returns are not allowed on old armor.
