Mytological barglobe atlas that carries the world - with 16th century map - Wood, polystone
This mythological bar globe comes from the 1980s and originates from England. It shows the Greek Atlas carrying the world on his back. According to the legend, Atlas carries the sky on his shoulders and is associated with the Atlas mountains. Atlas is the father of Maia and thus the grandfather of Hermes.
This beautiful bar globe has an aristocratic map with a reproduction from the 16th century. With this classic map, you will picture yourself in the times of the East India trades and imagine sailing across the oceans.
The bar is made of polystone, which consists of ground stone, such as granite or marble, which is mixed with synthetic resin.
The inside of the globe is made of wood. Also on the inside it is very beautiful. It can hold several bottles and glasses. There is also a tray for ice cubes.
The colour combination gives it a beautiful antique effect that blends harmoniously into any interior. The bar stands on 4 wheels which do not stand out, but are very convenient.
Height 107cm and the diameter is 50cm
