This is the facsimile edition of the original artist's book by Henri Matisse (published 1947 by Tériade for Éditions Verve in an edition of 250 copies). In this case edited by George Braziller New York 1983 in hardcover with dust jacket. Here the rare first edition in first print is offered (was reprinted several times in the years 1983-86 in large hardcover edition: 2nd, 3rd + 4th printing). Condition: Inside almost impeccable, very good, only with very slight signs of ageing. Outside the dust jacket with shelf wear. Abrasion and damage to the dust jacket. Condition: moderate to good. Please take a look at the photos. Printed on very nice, matte paper. The colours inside are fresh and vibrant (this is not well to recognize on my photos).
