Offered is an antique French salt pot, also called saloir. The pot has the original lid and comes from the region "Berry" in France, known for its potteries and the hard clay (Grès de Berry). The pot is partly glazed on the outside and has baked in oven slag so that it can be dated to around 1850. It can be seen in ceramic-oriented museums (see last photo). Despite its age, the pot is in a good condition with some signs of wear (see photos). As for the dimensions: the height = 26 cm, the length from ear to ear = 26 cm and the largest width = 19 cm. Weight = 2.7 kg. THE jar is carefully packed, shipped registered and insured.
