Formerly owned and played by, Sam Phipps, of the popular 80’s band, Oingo Boingo. Purchased from Mr. Phipps in 1991. Tenor has a great tone and sound, whether its jazz, blues, or rock n roll. It’s in awesome original condition with original lacquer, excellent pads, two mouth pieces (newer metal one), Sam’s original gig bag, and a brand-new case. It also has extra reeds, straps, stands, brush cleaners and music books. It is a six digit serial number #209659, vintage 1973, and made in Paris, France. The Selmer Mark VI is a saxophone produced from 1954 to 1985. French-assembled Mark VI engraving is usually of a butterfly and floral motif, and the engraving #209659 extends to the bow.
