This offering features an Old Imari porcelain tobacco receptacle and hibachi set, elegantly accommodated within a maki-e lacquer tray that includes a drawer and a copper handle. This set exemplifies traditional Japanese craftsmanship, merging functionality with ornate detail.

Imari porcelain, esteemed for its rich colors and intricate designs, originated from the Arita region of Japan. Named after the port from which it was exported, Imari ware is celebrated for its vivid blue, red, and gold embellishments that characterize its ornate style, dating back to the Meiji period or Later.

The lacquer tray is beautifully decorated with a gold design mimicking wood grain, enhancing the overall elegance of the set. The custom wooden box, inscribed with "Matsudaira Kai-no-Kami Uchi Kondo-shi," adds an element of historical interest, hinting at its heritage.
