Baccarat, St. Louis - Drikke-sett (2) - Krystall

Extravagant set of 2 liquor ancient liquor carafes in Saint Louis Crystal. Examples of typical production are attached. One Carafe represents in « S S » model and the second one in the “comb” or "palisade".
This cut was reported in 1820 by M. Christian, director of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, during a visit to Birmingham, where he bought English glassworks to show them in Paris: the glasses were cut in "comb" and the French immediately copied this model which had great success. Saint-Louis will manufacture this service from the year 1835-
1840).
The SS cut was manufactured from 1834-35 and produced by both Baccarat and Saint Louis.
Rare and beautiful carafes in excellent condition, can have some light traces of use(some light microchipping could be found and traces inside, lid not originally belongs).
