Rare vintage Blood Transfusion Kit, made in England by George Carsberg Ltd London, presumably WW2 era (medical instrument, syringe)

This is a very rare blood transfusion embalming aspiration kit, coming in its original fitted wood box, with a pull out section that holds the needles and fittings, with space underneath storing more fittings. The kit contains original pieces including syringe which is marked "GEORGE CARSBERG LTD LONDON", splitter, clamp, needles, fittings and small glass cylinder. The syringe measures 19cm when the plunger is retracted. The box has its original two locking clamps on each side and is all secured with original brass screws and hinges. The wood has a wonderful patina and some scratches as as result of normal wear, a minor split in the bottom left corner. Markings: The box, syringe and a fitting are marked with the ‘Pheon’ (Broad Arrow) government property mark. The broad arrow frequently appeared on equipment issued by the British War Department, e.g. weaponry, flatware and medical tools. The arrows, patent date*, and the fact that Carsberg was running his business during this period of time, could very well indicate that this kit was issued during/before WW2. - "pat. no. 1742497" * (issued/renewed Jan. 7, 1930) - "E-D LUER-LOK" & "B-D LUER-LOK" - "GCLtd London" - "77" Scarce and highly collectable item. Shipping by registered post with insurance.
