The Solari CIFRA 3 synchron was designed by Gino Valle in 1966 and for this project the designer won the 'Compasso d'Oro' prize. Designed and created for the house, study and office. It is considered one of the highest expressions of synthesis between technology and design in the furnishing sector. Recognised as one of the most prestigious Italian designs of the 20th century, it is an integral part of the collection of designer objects in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and it has appeared in a retrospective of the Metropolitan Museum of New York between 1999 and 2000, dedicated entirely to artistic industrial production in the last century.
