I am offering for auction a delightful late 19th century watercolour of still life of oranges, cherries, and a jar, by listed artist Giovanni Barbaro, 1864-1915. Signed bottom right. The painting is in good order. Please look at all pictures for an accurate idea of condition. Some wear on frame. Some slight fading. Ready to hang and enjoy. Postage via DPD, UPS or Parcel force depending on country. Giovanni Barbaro, 1864-1915. Barbaro was born in Amalfi, Italy, 16th April 1864. He moved to England and lived in London and Bath. He was a popular painter flourishing between 1890 and 1907. He painted exotic eastern and desert scenes signed with his own name Giovanni Barbaro, and more tradition English still life paintings of fruits and flowers often signed with the pseudonym Arthur Dudley. He exhibited at The Royal Academy, The Royal Institute, The Royal Society of British Artists on Suffolk Street and the New Watercolour Society. He died aged 51 in 1915.
