Just remember that there was only Dolby B and the best tape was a chrome (CrO2) tape. The Nakamichi has been well preserved for the past 40 years. It is a highly sought after genuine vintage audio item. The wood is in good condition, top left is missing a small piece and in the left flank has a small dent. Below the left rec. level control there’s a few scratches that I have brought into focus with a macro lens (making it seem worse than it is). More damage (than shown here) is not there, there are no hidden defects. The 600 plays well, with a clear sound and it does not have any distortion.
