Sabre for officers of the light cavalry / Hussars from the period of the 1st Empire. Sabre and sheath completely mounted in iron. Stirrup hilt with leather grip and twisted copper wire in the grooves. The blued blade features the engravings that were usual at officer’s sabres around 1800. In the back of the blade is also the Solingen rose engraved. In the Kingdom of Holland of Louis Napoleon these swords were carried by the Hussars of Louis Napoleon, see last image. Total length 102 cm, width blade 30 mm. Shipping method: PostNL, registered/insured.
