Pieter Daniel Dik (1943-1984) Art painter Pieter Daniël Dik is a natural. His drawings were being noticed even at a young age. After vocational school, he becomes an organ builder, though at the age of 22 he dedicates himself exclusively to painting. Pieter Dik spends a lot of time in observing animals in the dunes and forests. In The Netherlands, Great Britain, Scandinavia, France, Germany, Belgium, Canada and the United States, he becomes renowned as a wildlife painter. The hunting world also embraces his work. The Belgian King Baudouin has bought oil paintings by his hand. He nevertheless remains modest and prefers to wander around in nature and avoids tributes and spotlights. At the age of 41 he dies in his hometown Schoor.
