A monumental bronze sculpture made in the mid-20th century with the lost wax casting technique. The work depicts Saint Michael the Archangel in the act of killing Lucifer. The work comes from France, where it once furnished a prestigious villa; previously it was probably kept in a church in that area.
It depicts the victory of good over evil.
Remarkable metal patina. Item of considerable weight and size (almost one meter in height and over 30kg in weight)
