After graduating from the State Ceramics School in Teplice, in the 30's Elly Strobach Königová (1908-2002) began working as a designer at the Royal Dux porcelain factory. In addition to her plump children with a sweet and friendly expression, she has become very popular in the art world for her refined dancers and nudes. This statue was designed in the 1930s and is signed by the artist on the base. Height: 25 cm. The Royal Dux mark, visible under the base, was used by the factory between 1912 and 1939. The statue is in good condition considering its age, but there are three small flaws (see photos), which however, do not affect the beauty of the piece: 1. slight chipping on the elbow; 2. chipping above the neck; 3. chipping on the right foot.
