Good pocket watch by LeRoy and Cie in solid 18k gold case. Diameter of the watch is 47 mm, height without bow is 56 mm, weight is 69 grams. Watch comes in original box. Watch is based on quality LeCoultre ebauche and is nicely finished. It’s triple signed - movement, dial and the movement bears LeRoy signature. The watch is high grade. It features chronometer quality oversized cut and compensated balance wheel, the watch jewelled to the center wheel and features counterpivots for escapement wheel, "wolf tooth" winding wheels. Watch appears to be in excellent condition, probably spent in box most of time. The case and dial are in excellent condition with minor traces of wear. Movement is in good working condition, though time keeping is not guaranteed. Box has minor wear. Leroy & Fils (Basile)-Charles Le Roy became Master Watchmaker in 1785 at the very young age of 20. In 1805, Le Roy became “Watchmaker to Her Imperial and Royal Highness”. In mid-XIX century company became watchmaker to Queen Victoria and ministery of Navy.
