This is a huge, 13cm long example of Longianda termieri (Neltner & Poctey, 1950) from the Issafen Formation of Morocco. It has been beautifully prepared in flying mode and natural rust-colored highlights around the edges add to the beauty of the piece. Trilobite tails rarely retain copper cubes of their original origin. Whole trilobites are meticulously prepared with stunning surface detail. In the past few years, deposits near Issafen, Morocco have begun yielding a new assemblage of Early Cambrian trilobites. This fauna is very diverse and consists mainly of ellipsocephalids, chengkouuids, gigantopygids, holmiids, neltneriids, sa ukiandids, and the latest fallotaspids. The shale when freshly split is a greenish to slightly yellow color but weathers to a light grey. This specie is difficult to find, 100% natural, without restoration or spines from another trilobite.
