An exceptional whisky, Ben Nevis 1970 is in reality a "single blend", that is to say a blend of grain whiskey and malt whisky, but 100% from the same distillery. An independent single cask bottling of Ben Nevis single malt whisky, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2014 after aging in bourbon casks. About the distillery Ben Nevis Distillery is a Scottish distillery which distills Ben Nevis 10 year old and Ben Nevis 21 year old whisky. It is located on Lochy Bridge in Fort William and is right at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, which rises to 4,409 feet above sea level. A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands, Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn which comes from two basins, Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste. Founded in 1825 as an independent company, it has been owned since 1989 by Nikka Whiskey Distilling of Tokyo, Japan. Please note, the packaging box is damaged, see condition in the photos.
