An important spotted jasper statue bead talisman from the ancient Persian, Bactrian culture.
1st millennium BC.
In good condition. It has been cleaned partly, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular, funnel-shaped. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased mid 90's in Paris by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
