Rene Lalique Original Car Mascot
From our Lalique collection, we are delighted to offer the Rene Lalique Perche Poisson Car Mascot. The Car Mascot modelled from Rene Lalique's original catalogue of hood ornaments model number #1158 Perche or Perch. Faintly embossed between the lower fins R.Lalique to the centre. The Car Mascot beautifully formed in glass with a naturalistic view with intricate scales 'perched' upon the pedestal base.
The Perche Possion Car Mascot was made to sit on a car radiator mount as a luxury ornament in the 1920s by famous glassmaker René Jules Lalique. Originally it would have been lit underneath by a bulb which would shine through the glass car mascot giving it a warm glow at night, the faster the car went the brighter the glow.
