Signed photo by Fernando Henrique Cardoso (20x26 cm), received in 1997. Excellent condition. Autograph was part of my father's collection, who started collecting signatures of world leaders, actors, musicians, and football players in 1961. During 50+ years, he owned ~20.000 autographs in 180 binders and boxes. Fernando Henrique Cardoso (born 18 June 1931), is a Brazilian sociologist, professor, and politician who served as the 34th president of Brazil from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2002. He was the first Brazilian president to be reelected for a subsequent term. An accomplished scholar of dependency theory noted for his research on slavery and political theory, Cardoso has earned many honors including the Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation (2000)[3] and the Kluge Prize from the US Library of Congress (2012) Lessing was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Literature. In awarding the prize, the Swedish Academy described her as "that epicist of the female experience, who with scepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilisation to scrutiny".[2] Lessing was the oldest person ever to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, at age 87.[3][4][5] In 2001 Lessing was awarded the David Cohen Prize for a lifetime's achievement in British literature. In 2008 The Times ranked her fifth on a list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".
